Dyed and undyed Merino and Blue Faced Leicester wool, undyed rose fiber, upcycled yarn. Wet felted.

This medium bold abstract piece features a grey-blue background on which bold pink, plum and greens pop out. Some white accents in shiny rose fiber. 3-D tear-shaped pockets represent the magical pushing out of orchid flowers from the everyday dullness into surprising life: a fragile and bold hope of Spring to come in the winter months. The presence of upcycled strings in the composition makes for a very textured yet soft-looking surface.

This piece is medium-sized (around 40x54 cm, unmounted) and will be a bold addition in any space.
