Dyed and undyed Merino wool, undyed Blue Faced Leicester wool, upcycled  yarn, undyed Eri silk. Wet felted.

 
This light-hearted abstract piece shows a lime tree organically in three seasons. It blends warm and cold colours, with a background of greys, whites, pinks, black and pale blues, and the prominence of the brown tree trunk taking center stage of the piece. A mix of greens and a touch of yellow dominate the top right of the artwork. The tree trunk is given texture by upcycled yarn that peeks from beneath the merino wool fiber.
I have a special relationship to lime trees.

 
This piece is medium-sized (around 35x50 cm, unmounted) and will be a tasteful addition  to any space.
