Merino wool, upcycled  yarn. Wet felted.

An abstract cityscape that is a blend of warm and cold colours, with a prevalence of greys and greens, and a touch of yellow, blue and terra di Siena. A background of horizontal lines supports the vertical lines of upcycled yarn of different length that suggest vertical buildings. Some horizontal yarns suggest pavement on the bottom and upper features of the landscape on the top. The textures are varied and interesting due to the addition of recycled yarn that gives this artwork a tridimensional feeling. Yarn is also protruding from the bottom of the artwork, diffusing the work into the surrounding space to suggest an unlimited expanse of city.

This piece is medium-sized (around 33x52 cm or 33x66cm considering the bottom pieces of yarn, unmounted) and will be a tasteful addition  to any space.
